Project Evaluation & Review Technique (PERT) :-
This is also used for project activities .
In PERT each activity will have THREE time estimation:-
(1). Optimistic Time
(2). Most Likely Time
(3). Pessimistic Time
PARAMETERS :-
(1). Mean expected duration :-
Te = [ (To + 4Tm + Tp) / 6 ]
(2). Variance :-
Var. = [ ( Tp - To ) / 6 ]^2
(3). Critical Path :-
Esi = Max. ( Esi + Dij )
Lci = Min. ( Lcj - Dij )
NOTE :-- Condition for Critical Path :-
1. Esi = Lsj
2. Lci = Lcj
3. Esj - Esi = Lcj - Lci = Dij.
