CNC Machining Tutorial-11 (Threading)

 CNC Machining Tutorial-11 (Threading):-

Before starting this Tutorial let's first discuss about some different terms and codes for a threading program or threading operation:-

G32 :- Threading Cycle


Problem: we have to work on cylindrical block of 35mm length and 30mm diameter to make the workpiece like as shown in the image (i.e. the thread length should be 25mm ) :- 
The desired product should look like this

Mathematical Calculation & Assuming values:-

Pitch (P) = 1.5mm
Major Dia. = 30mm
L= 25mm

Depth of cut  = 0.6134p = 0.6134*1.5 = 0.9201
Minor Dia. = 30-2(0.9201) = 28.159
